About the event
Again this year, we will have Blessing of the Backpacks during morning worship on Sunday, August 25th! All students, preschool-college, bring your backpacks and place them on the altar as you come into the sanctuary for morning worship. We will have a special time in the service to lay hands on and pray over all our students, teachers, administrators, faculty, and staff.
We are adding a MISSION component this year! We encourage those who can to fill a backpack (one you choose to purchase) with school supplies. During our backpack blessing, we will bring the filled backpacks forward and have prayer for those who will receive them. The donated backpacks will then go to the homeless students in the Richmond County School System. We pray that you will participate in this worthy mission project.
